Proverbs 1; Verses 21-23; Wisdom; Pleading/Begging/Crying Out
Note: Obviously satan does not come with two horns on top of his head literally. The two horns from Revelation 13:11 represent power. Two horns of power representing religion and financial. 1) satan claiming to be Christ/God. 2) One world currency/financial. The other two horns are education and politics.
(Proverbs 1:21-23) "She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,
Luke 7:31-35 cross reference.
Now we're talking about mindlessly going through life asking where God is at. He is there the question is are you going to open up your heart? Letting it all pass by(e) right in front of one's face?
In Pride and stiffed-neck while the nose is stuck up at God, and unknowing. Some say I need to see God, or an "epiphany." The very fact one says that is a cry for help, all while the answers are looking for you. Getting caught up in the flesh, just seeing flesh, finding one's value in the flesh won't get it done by any stretch of that imagination. Finding one's value in the flesh things is serving man, serving the world, serving sin.
(Many times a moment of reflection and then keep on walking. God says inter-meddle. Throw all yourself in. No lukewarm, no hokey-pokey).
(Imagine hearing an ambulance screaming on the way to a man down no one passes by do they? We are that man down before belief/repentance in Christ. Being teachable listening to the doctors instructions after).
(Mark 2:17) "When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
The word sick from the Greek means spiritually sick of course. But even more it means miserably from bad nature (like a bad egg). Whole = as in wholesome, healthy. Man also has many methods beyond this (not even knowing this through philosophy i.e. fixing people). Where is that written? You going to add what God calls healed? Sounds like a scam to me. A revolving door with no answers ever? Got that right. So it is with ANY world philosophy. As it stands you want to be an "intellectual genius." Then it begins with God's wisdom.
22How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
(Simple = Naive/easily persuaded. We're easily persuaded through the things of the world, but not God? This new thing to that new thing? The new fad? Never sticking to anything? Looking for love in the wrong place? Whoever will accept us at the time? That of course, will be done through flattery. Naive indeed. Scorn = brag, mock, talking back/trash mouthing to God and His Word(s). show contempt for God and His Word(s). Contempt always shuts off to listening (what the Holy Spirit says) being resentful. Instead of seeking to understand, the want to be understood all the time. The result will always be reactionary out of anger, not righteous indignation).
Maybe this false preacher to that false preacher? Soothsayers? According to what one wants to hear? Counting it as love. I get to say Jesus without repenting? Being accountable to repent to others when you sin against them?
(Very important here. HATE knowledge. As we have stated it begins with knowledge, then understanding. Putting it together. No one gets it overnight. But the walls of defensiveness and your own military against God must put up the white flag = I surrender).
What we have hear is complete shutdown in the ability to grow through faith at all. Thus emotional intelligence. The ability to feel correctly. Please study Luke 7:31-35 here. Overall being backwards because of not repenting and then making righteous judgment. Christ of course ends it in verse 35: "But wisdom is justified of all her children." The pharisees surely thought they knew some Proverbs. They failed to repent of course. Apply to self first.
23Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Turn the way you are walking (never read over any Word and look at the context. A complete walk in the opposite direction. Look down at your feet. I have no Gospel shoes on, walking on the path of death. The Holy Spirit here.
How can I put it? Standing outside dumbfounded? Which way do I go? Door one? Door two? This is extremely important. Everyone would say the door to life, how is it few find it?
Because I know people do take a little time to reflect. The WRONG things. We reflect through God's Word and apply to ourselves first.
You ever thought that before and wrongly applied to someone in scorning? But have a problem when God puts it to you? Time to take some responsibility/accountability for your sin. You think this language is tough, wait till the next Proverb. Verses 24 and on.
(Matthew 7:13-14) "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
Everyone has seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, everyone loves it. Opening that door to a colorful vivid life. The senses immediately excited and raised. Feeling of warmness and a great sense of well-being.
Let's remember how bratty (stuck up noses, just stuck up and selfish) them kids were as well. Me, me, me. No appreciation. You would not want to be around them?
To the like we should apply that Spiritually. How much more with the love of Christ, and the knowing hope. Not a, "well, I hope so." Knowing because He did it first. Examine properly. If Christ is, and who says He is = the Messiah. Then it's a KNOWING HOPE. In all people's minds. When examined properly with common sense. If not? I could not never pick them for a trial by jury. Unable to weigh the evidence before them. Very irrational indeed.
The analogies overall show a choice to make. Yes, Christ is giving an ultimatum. I know people generally do not like ultimatums. Christ says get over it. or don't and go to the lake of fire. It's up to you. When using Matthew 7:13-14 I'm very careful. What do I mean?
(We have little relation to entering a gate of a walled city. The goal is to get into the walled city and have God's protection, from there having protection from the enemy).
Let's take a look what kind of world this is when one opens the door:
(Ephesians 2:5-10) "Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
(And you thought the chocolate factory would be a great gift. Willy was being very kind).
Remember, the movie if you want to view paradise through pure imagination?
Referring back to the beginning of the post.
Remember the thief on the cross. You have not sinned enough to outdo God's grace. "Today, you will be with me in paradise." Like him, we have to step to the plate in accountability.
9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
AMEN
