Matthew 25; Verses 14-30; Relationship; Trust

Can you imagine getting a high paying job and not showing up? No call, no show. Letting them down, and yourself, they cannot trust you, the person cannot trust themselves, how can they be trusted with anyone else? Feeling it deep inside, no sense of accomplishment, well being? No sense of accomplishment in getting it done?

Moreover, ever had a co-worker, "no call, no show"? How do you feel? Causing more work?
Likewise and exceedingly more with the LORD as He is in charge. This is why we're given the analogies in the parable(s).

Can He trust you?

Talent = A large sum of money. God is trusting with here. For Giving Heavenly riches, God's truth.
God knows. The human heart and mind when it comes to the satisfaction in trying your best. Trying your best for Him, in production of advancing His Kingdom. "Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven." This of course daily, as in the Lord's prayer. Daily striving for that. Therefore doing what is in the Lord's prayer daily one can only be sustaining life, through growing.

(Matthew 25:14-30) "For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

16Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

17And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

18But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.

They are burying it and hiding it from people. Creating their own God, "mine, mine, mine." They have made themselves above God, the creator of that very own earth they are digging on top of it. Covering it with dirt!

This is not a pretty sight! Did they check/call with God before they dug? Destruction of private property, malicious destruction of property, robbery, wanting to get paid doing nothing. It is just piling up.

There is no playing "finders keepers" with God.

19After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

20And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

(Something to be very proud of. Pride in doing a good job for the LORD).

22He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

23His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

(Pride and doing a good job for the LORD).

24Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

(Dealing with fear of rejection here. Everyone can relate).

25And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

Fear did it. Not even stepping out in faith. Fear of man of course. They buried what God gave 6 feet under, not even a proper burial. How rude is that? No manners. After all they own the place? The world/earth revolving around them.

26His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

(Laziness and procrastination. We'll get around to it the next day. No no no. It never works like that. A spark produces a fire. Spark plug sets them engines on all full cylinders."

(Let's light a fire under our butts, lol. Okay, but let's get moving. Everyone knows that saying).

27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

(God is saying He gives on credit. He wants a return. Everyone can relate paying interest).

(This also shows be happy and satisfied with what He does give, and don't look to others and envy and be jealous).

28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

(No call, no show. Many are called, few are chosen. Because they chose incorrectly and unwisely).

Therefore, them talents He gives let's put to good use the "talent" He gives. AMEN.
