Proverbs 20; Verse 5; Hope vs. False Hope; Raising Discernment

Note: Matthew 24:24 is during the great tribulation when satan claims to be Christ/God, and the savior of the world in Jerusalem. The point remains for now as his great influence heightens as we go along.

What an amazing Proverb we have here.

(Proverbs 20:5) "Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding (wise in God's Word) will draw it out."

Counsel giving purposeful hope through God's Word. This is two people working together as a team. We are a talking a well with water here. A well with water has hope. As opposed Biblically, a well without water long on promises/hope, but does not deliver anything. Very disappointing to discouraging. So think "deep" what kind of hope people shovel. Inside it is a false hope? False sense of security (esp. the things of the world giving hope, of the flesh)? Getting real with one's self asking just them questions.

This person has the knowledge with them. The other person helps in helping put it together. This of course, helps both working seamlessly. Hope and flourish here. Joy from within that is deep. An amazing thing God and His Word does

Talk about God's Word together. Don't give up. Dig deep. Like working out the gym digging deep to complete failure (an analogy how hard we go after it with much more emphasis but we can only relate too).

God's WORD can and does break us down the same. He (and other Christians better be) puts it together, building up from there. Encouraging, one has to be able to recognize that of course. Growing in God's Word. I would certainly hope so you can tell a true Christian or not. Or you would not even know what to tell them in the first place.

(Hebrews 4:12-13, God's Word cuts us to pieces, the sword, He brings us back together, heals that heart to mind. This is why Christ always used to cut asunder (to pieces) when He comes back. With His Word. What is He saying? No one escapes. But then is too late. People want God to heal them. It will NEVER happen without this, through belief/repentance changing the heart and mind. The failure of that is to reject God's amazing work on the cross, saying you don't need it).

Or to be quite frank, don't and man can keep cutting you, breaking you down, walking all over you, is it worth it to find self-worth in it? The things of the world trying to please people who could care less as it is? Care nothing about your eternal destination? Your eternal purpose? What is good for us and what is not?

satan's trick of course is to be self-serving thinking you are not serving them, serving him. That is the illusion in distortion of reality satan offers. Oh satan you are chopped liver around me, in Jesus the Christ name.

Moving on,

Both people have that acquired taste through thirst here as water is in the belly. The living water that is Christ.

(John 4:11-15) "The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

12Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

(Remember, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God always told them He is the God of the living, not the dead. She knew this).

13Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

14But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

15The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw."

To the direct contrary: false hope, soothsayers, without defining God's Word. Words like hope, change, the truth will set you free with no defining terms in application. An undefined Scripture, twisted with our treasures on earth, will naturally result in owns self will, selfish will in self-serving (not pure of course), not GOD'S WILL. All pure.

(II Peter 2:17-20) "These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

A tempest is cloudy and dark, a windstorm with the promise of rain but delivers nothing. Like a well without water as Peter gives us both analogies. The darkness they do "deliver" in false hope comes back on them.

18For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

(Case in point. They are twisting God's for the flesh. They will automatically "butcher" verses that are Spiritual and use it to serve the flesh. Automatically done, with no Spiritual Discipline).

The word allure Peter is using as like a net first to draw in (watch the tactics). As He is using simple things of the world He related to do to bring Spiritual truths. He was a "commercial fisherman." As Christ said to Him, "I will make you fishers of men."

What tactics? Emotion based stage shows drawing based on feelings and not true and saving faith for starters. The meat of the Word, prophecy as well. As whatever does not pertain to the cross, salvation, milk is the meat beyond that. Per Hebrews 5 and 6 spells it out great. The meat is what brings discernment and righteously judging.

Everyone likes peaceful fishing on a sunny day as well, everyone likes a "good catch." Everyone can relate.

No one likes to go out gets some bites and no catch. Another promising thing with no delivery. Like that to false hope, thus giving no purpose. Revolving doors.

Overall, satan has fishers of men as well. That is a trap. As false hope is a trap.

(Matthew 4:18-19) "And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

19And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."

To II Peter 2 verse 19,

19While they promise them liberty (the truth will set you free they say), they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

(That is double the weight on them. because a little bit of knowledge does that. Which is why you see some who don't want God's Word. Blaming others for their sins as it goes from there. So, so, so wrong. The double burden is on them, whether they know it or not. They try and transfer it to others in blame. VERY WRONG)!

Case in point:

(II Peter 2:20) "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning."

AMEN
