James 5; Verses 7-10; Patience an Essential Virtue; The Heart of a Champion Through Christ

Thank you for taking a look †

Patience not the most fun word in vocabulary. But let's examine through the eyes of waiting on Christ. The exact process and what it brings. Please also reference II Peter 1:1-11. We're not going to go there here. But you will find the exact same as in this post. Being an over-comer for Christ as He overcame for us, showing us how to get it done over satan. Those who have victory will of course sing the song of Moses in celebration. Whether you think you can sing or not. Overcoming is music to the Lord's ears.

(James 5:7-10) "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

(Two things we must understand about prophecy and the end-times.Two fruits are always referenced and sometimes interchangeably but have distinct meanings in there verses (figs and grapes. Figs for the good and evil figs. Grapes to wine for the blood of Christ, the cross).

(Patient here as in don't lose in heart, the will. Our own will. And of course with our spirit, with the Holy Spirit that is not going to happen. That is the power, and the power of the Lord. Let's remember no one goes pulling up crops until after the season, the correct harvest).

(James is referring to John 15 here of course. Christ is the true vine, The Father is the Husbandmen in this sense. The vine dresser. This is referring to God's overall plan. The season we are to endure to not be harvested out of season when satan sets up shop claiming to be Christ/God).

(John 15:1-3) "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. "

(James is showing through example here that if it seems to be a time of "burn out", not growing. We need to be patient. The Lord is trying to teach us something. Of course, in preparation for the all out famine when satan claims to be Christ/God. The famine for hearing the words of the Lord. The overall point and being aware of this "burn out" so that we do not lose heart. Take nothing for granted. Keep on keeping on, the learning never ends. Overall here, we are learning to be patient for our long lost love. though we are not lost in waiting for HIS coming).

Now the slicing difference. satan the false vine.

(Deuteronomy 32:32-33) "For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:

33Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps."

From the very root they are serving bitter gall here. The dragon is of course satan. Cruel venom - spew out of their mouths. Asps - a snake. The off spring of the serpent. What is that? Christ-hating doctrine from those who call themselves Jews, and are not. Got it? The bitter gall is hating Christ and would crucify Him here and now again in the flesh. How hard is that?

Moving on to James 5:8,

8Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

(Here it is, likewise applies to us. God's will so that it can match our own will. We of course are being patient on His second coming here. I really have to point that out because a false teacher will use this and butcher for a financial breakthrough, a selfish break though. Totally backwards, when the point here is to learn a spiritual lesson of patience. Matter of fact part of the enduring is physical things and loss of the things of the world for Christ. An example of how backwards and of the world a false teacher).

9Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

Losing heart, not being patient is going to cause bitterness. Groaning, as if disgusted with others. What does all this do? condemned = guilt. The burden right back on us. This is why the legal terminology. The judge is right there, coming with justice. Salvation is good will for all people for salvation.

10Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

(Take the prophets. No doubt who James has in mind here, Elijah from the famine. I Kings chapters 17-19. Elijah on the run from the false prophets/teachers, and the government. The false prophets were all government bought and owned by Ahab and Jezebel).

Now please reference I Kings 17. Not only did Elijah not lose heart. The widow gained strength from Him. Pretty amazing considering all! All He was going through He was her breakthrough. At the same time she was his breakthrough. Both growing and drawing from each other for each other. I find it an amazing story.

Let's take a further look down,

(James 5:17-18) "Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

(We can relate. Like-minded. He went through it too. He was a man. The disciples, apostles, and here Pastor James always use these examples for us to relate as human beings being in the flesh. Christ the only begotten son of God).

18And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit."

Prayer, our communication as Christ is our intercessor. Remember the prayer for the saints before the first trumpet beginning the famine? Keeping you in relationship with the LORD though Christ.

He knew it was coming. The Lord promised it, and we have the written Word. The benefit of having it all and putting it together to build and strengthen faith through prophecy. Prophecy does not make us believe, but it confirms, that is the purpose. Showing us the Lord's plan will come to pass. Everything for our benefit in supporting factors, evidence. Thinkers put evidence together and rightly judge/discern through their senses.

As I like to point out when I was first saved. I read a book on probability. The "odds" of just the first coming of Christ in some 333 prophecies. Well, the conclusion are infinite. No end. I also looked at things such as "Pascal's wager."Another infinite. Of course we don't believe by chance. But is shows the fallacy of atheism. Atheism is rooted on math and science and statistical hypothesis from it, you fail at all things atheist. Way it is. Now turn of your nonsense and repent. That was part of it for me. Foolish nonsense beliefs that add up to nothing because of blind bitter hatred towards the Lord, then others. Be honest with yourselves, you think you're motives are good? love? Are they not for your own selfish gain? Don't lie. You care about another persons eternal existence? Don't lie and stop fooling yourself. I also added that because in times in life from anyone, many could say in trouble there is no God. If, and when things look bleak.

So, now you see the evidence of Christ' second coming. The one world system coming to be, Gospel preached to all nations, wars and rumors of wars, a few examples. You see it coming to be, happening right in front of you. But just that is not faith to sustain. The Word does. Christ was right the rooster crowed 3 times. Let's not run around like chickens with our heads cut off = fear. As men hearts fail because of fear because they don't know because of no faith, then learning it, and trusting in Christ and His words. Looking up our redemption draws near. This is why we pointed out do not lose heart.

(Luke 21:26-28) "Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

(Therefore, we can conclude this "burn out" leads to famine, stopping growth, resulting in fear. Giving in, then turning back to the world, and of the world. Where we came from in the first place).

However, a Christians faith does not reside if there is a God or not. But is CHRIST who He says He is, and what He came to do for us. I also ask, who will teach Jesus? Muhammad? Buddha? Confucius say what? NOTHING.

(Let's also point out with 144,000 first fruits in being patient with them).

Remember the widow at Zarepath. Here is the exact point of reference in type for us. (Elijah of course was sustained with bread and water). Christ the bread of life, and the living water of eternal life, energy. Immeasurable healthy carbohydrates, with the basic physical need for water. A pretty amazing fact also the avg human dies after 3 days without water. With 3 being a huge Biblical number in symbolism for resurrection and completeness.

(Isaiah 54:4-5) "Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

(The subject is of course staying a spiritual virgin from verse 1. Those who do sing the song of Moses, including the first fruits, the 144,000; Revelation 14:1-3)

(Why? Babylon says she is no widow. Married to satan the king of Babylon.

5For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

(There you have it. From the beginning of the post. The word Husband from the Hebrew means possession. The Lord's ownership. In this day and age some would take offense to that. No, not with true love. You own something, you care for it properly and want to take care of it. How much more with a person? (Ephesians 5 for reference there; Song of Solomon can't go wrong anywhere either. Treat others as we do ourselves. We take care of our needs. Proper essentials physically. So we must care for their needs spiritually is the point. Who does not want to be treated like that? It can only be obtained through the Lord and learning His Word).

I sense in this day and age with independent rebels without a cause this is hated concept (but that can end now. Living for nothing, no purpose, no cause, no meaning in life, ends at belief/repentance, proper view of the Lord, then others from there as a result). It works both ways in a marriage. What I mean is many treat their own belongings like garbage with no respect. Let alone anyone else. The hate for the world worldview that comes through selfishness, serve me. Instead of serving the Lord, then others. Always serving the Lord for them, as we don't serve man in mind. Meaning we are working for the Lord. That is freedom.

Never forget this is true love, and the only true love we can know. All of God's Word is pure, and pure for us. Therefore, His wants and needs for us to Him, he gives us for others are pure. No guilt, no shame, no condemnation allowed. If we sin in this process let's learn and grow. Repenting as a Christian = deep remorse, sorry. God does not condemn for that, but we can allow ourselves. Let's not go there.

Amen †
