Finishing up Matthew 14. Short but speaking volumes and rich also. Thank you for taking a look †
(Matthew 14:34-36) "And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.
Back to the stomping grounds (pun intended towards satan the serpent) where Christ spent most of His time. All the cities around the sea and surrounding areas. Where up to this time Christ had gained all His popularity. We also get a view of the same days in John 6. We learn after of the feeding of the 5,000 they followed him. That crowd an estimated 20,000).
(As word gets around the lake quickly as He spread the news. So after word of mouth got around we could say Christ was on full fire here. This would of been a little northwest of that location. We're talking about all within about a 16-20 mile proximity, all the cities/towns surrounding the sea of Galilee).
35And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;
(They knew He was back. We have a huge crowd here. From all surrounding areas. Maybe you could possibly even saying double that of the estimated 20,000. So Christ all time high in popularity here. In John 6 He taught in the Word here. Spiritual lessons then came with the reality. He wanted serious followers after this. All this was to teach who would be serious and who not. As many were around just for the fish sand which).
Let's take a look:
(John 6:26-27) "Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
(They wanted a free handout physically. The only thing they wanted to touch was physical food. We are to look deep why we're in this. No matter what it is. Is it for something we can get? Get out out of someone? Feel good for a moment with our bellies warm? Point is after a good physical meals comes temporary contentment. Just like living by feelings, and not faith. We are to have that spiritual contentment and satisfaction first. The true blessing).
27Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed."
(Don't put your blood, sweat, and tears in that which comes and goes. We brought nothing into this world and can take nothing out. But what does comes out is people, and their eternity. Spiritually first. Point is we should be doing both. We can help the homeless, feed people but without this reality of truth it is not helping. The goal to make fishers of men, as God is the giver all of wisdom at salvation. Christ also gave the desert reference concerning Moses and the Manna here. How is that significant? Those who followed Him it was from the feeding. This is how the Word of God comes to life for a person. Relating the physical and the physical surrounding to what we need spiritually first taking it in).
Reference of that (desert place, a less fruitful place).
(Matthew 14:13-14) "When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.
14And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick."
To Matthew 14:36,
36And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole."
(So we learn here they continued on. They were not saying give, give, give. Selfish me. They are coming in faith so they will be completely healed. The garment representative of the garment of salvation. That same garment we keep on through out and not removing it for satan when he comes to claim to be Christ).
Overall point is do not touch satan, he has no garment for you. No protection. Nothing to stay warm. But cold and dark (outer darkness) on the outside looking in when Christ comes back.
Let's take a further look:
(Matthew 22:11-13) "And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
We stay in the field (the world) laboring, working (NO RAPTURE/PRE TRIB RAPTURE) With them garments on fully clothed: As we have put up recently the full picture here is to be out in the cold harvested out of the season with no clothes. Now try that physically, you are getting indecent exposure. As we will see below this exactly what happens.
(Mark 13:16) "And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment."
(Matthew 24:18) "Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes."
(Let's take a look at direct reference in Revelation 16. The 6th vial when satan claims to be Christ).
(Revelation 16:15) "Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame."
Indecent exposure:
(Shame, because you would not be clothed here. Removing that garment for satan, caught red-handed when Christ comes. They see his shame? That is all. We can either believe/repent now and bring it to light, or it's coming whether one likes it or not. No one escapes. Not those who worshiped satan as Christ/God. Remember why? satan is coming with the promise of all the physical things of the world in exchange for him).
Are we trying to alter the garment/clothes for the Gospel to fit our lives? Or THE LORD doing the fitting for us and clothing us? He has it "tailored" perfectly.
This is why Christ also taught in Matthew 6. Where we lay up our treasures and not where moths destroy/perish. That which is pure. All in one from every point in 3 verse here from Isaiah 51.
(Isaiah 51:6-8) "Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
7Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
8For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation."
Finally, to Isaiah 61. This is speaking of Christ second coming, as well. The marriage supper, the Millennium and on through eternity all inclusive.
(Isaiah 61:10) "I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels."
(Meeting, reuniting in person Christ' second coming. Envision this as seeing a long lost love running in the "field" to each other. This is why the LORD does the like. The most beautiful of pictures we can relate to, every human being longs for.
(That is before they turn bad. The simple things in life. So when we put it all together they in the end. They cheated on their spouse and have the "gall" to say I want in with no remorse, not even sorry. Not sorry for selling Christ out and other people).
We'll leave it there.
Amen †
Beautiful insights and analogies! God bless!
ReplyDeleteThank you. So glad you enjoyed it and got a lot out of it. Amazing how the LORD the teaches isn't it? Pretty simple, stay clothes and not found naked cheating, and then all exposed caught red-handed. This why I know unless you have respect for the Holy things the Lord wants for us you can forget about seeing the spiritual through them to begin with :)
ReplyDeleteAmen, God bless you†
