(II Timothy 2:14-16) "Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness."
(Meaning, study in context, verse by verse understand the subject rightly putting things in order. Man, may call names, "know it all", etc. But the Lord approves. No shame you put in the work to do it. The shame is in not doing so. Making things up, making up our own vain terms i.e. picking and choosing).
(We define the spiritual terms with application through experience i.e. living it. The Lord and His Word is trial and error as well. But we must be putting in the effort in complete sincerity).
