Matthew 16; Verses 5-12; The Leaven of Religion/False Doctrine

Continuing on in the amazing chapter of Matthew 16. Thank you for taking a look!!!

Isn't it alarming how satan twists things? Bread and dough are slang for money, we know the love of money is the root of all evil.

False doctrine always leads to religion and not a relationship thus reality. Why it impossible for Pharisees and Saduccees to relate not being reality.

(Matthew 16:5-12) "And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.

(Time for some real intellectual take out).

Also, refer to the parable of the meal/leaven from Matthew 13. Very detailed, very specific here.

Overall here, we are to not let leaven (false doctrine) permeate our soul spiritual bodies. Overall, it could not penetrate the pharisees and sadducees because of their heart then mind. All they could see was the flesh because of that. There first commandment was of course Love thyself with all thy heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind." The second one therefore would go like this, and love hate your neighbor as yourself.

That order is important in the first commandment. The strength is going to come from the heart and soul, then the mind. It always begins with the heart. Why the Pharisees and Sadducees had no heart.

False doctrine gets in then you see the most outrageous things said. You see them because the false doctrine has always been there and now you see it fully come to surface. But we need to recognize before that. The very heart of idolatrous doctrine is we need to watch for leading to bitter. Of course, the difference between the leavened and unleavened bread is being puffed up, pride.

(Notice something here. Christ did not get on them for a mistake here. But he is going to get on them some for lacking of faith. Not seeing the spiritual yet. Very big lesson to learn there on being Christ-like. Keep that in mind when dipping biscuits in gravy today. Okay, that being said).

6Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

(Take heed = See with eyes spiritually here. Like you would be putting on a magnifying glass letting it penetrate the mind. Leaven of course is yeast added to dough to make it rise. No coincidence that happens there will no be rising as in the resurrection).

Now think about it here. What does them forgetting to bring bread have anything to do with the Pharisees and Sadducees?

7And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

(Faulty human reasoning here. The spiritual takes reasoning where we relate the physical to spiritual. This is why when the Holy Spirit with our own spirit is the intellect of our soul. How we rationalize, the five senses. All the senses are used in Scripture for this reason. Beginning with what our eyes and ears take in. Sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch. This is so important to know how our own spirit operates with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes to us and changes these senses, when and how we need to repent as the Holy Spirit corrects for our own good).

8Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

(Little faith because all they could was the physical right here. Why did you do it? This is a rhetorical question).

9Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

(You're concerned about buying bread? We have two feedings here where we fed some 40,000 + people, give or take for sure. I'm going by averages. You did it with your very own hands, then already forgot. This is very important to point because we are to let the Word penetrate and not the leaven here. That is the ultimate point Christ is making here as we see).

10Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

The relationship with the numbers here and what they mean:

(They took 7 baskets from the previous chapter. 7 concerning the food. 7 represents spiritual perfection/completeness and both represent Resurrection and God's plan being complete in how He interacts with man. 7 standing for life as being Resurrected into spiritual breath of life bodies at the 7th trumpet, the first Resurrection. We also want to let that permeate, truth).

At the 7th trumpet God's people are of course passed over from God's wrath waiting on Christ, not worshiping satan claiming to be Christ/God. As Christ gathers them in at His coming.

Are we delivering the bread of life to people in baskets serving Christ (no one said waiter/waitress is a glamorous job, the reward is in Heaven, why are we in it)? The bread of life that sustains. Man cannot live on bread alone, but every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Likewise, man cannot live on biscuits, gravy and turkey alone. Point is that physical satisfaction we're to have spiritually, life abundantly.

11How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

(The fourth rhetorical question here. We can see this is an extremely important point. No false doctrine. Can we all just get along saying Jesus in vain? Christ told us about that; Matthew 7:21-23).

Those who do in vain/vanity there. They say Jesus, but do not do, they are not doers of the Word. Iniquity = lawlessness. Who is coming as the man of sin, son of perdition to claim to be Christ? satan of course.

They lied about these works below.

(Matthew 7:21-23) "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

(I've seen this a lot. These false teachers don't even know what they are doing. One verse here, one verse there making it up as they go along, of course for their benefit as that what double standards in judging do. Which of course, the overall thing the Pharisees did. Making the law to benefit them in the physical. I'd be very careful of those who do not even know how the Gospel Armor and how to anoint as well. How to win spiritual battles in spiritual warfare. They are not teaching God's Word and doing that they are doing no works, that is how you know).

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

(II Thessalonians 2:3-4) "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

(Matthew 24:10-12) "And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

(They do deceive many, them many of course are accountable for themselves to not be deceived. Why all the warnings. As they go to and for for knowledge never able to come to the truth. Learning the Gospel wrong they do. Let's not do it. Christ foretold us all things; Mark 13:23).

12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

(Love grown cold, the bitter lamps went out. Watch out for that it comes to light, as nothing is hidden. I always point out the very meaning of the Gospel is good will in salvation towards people. Growing in God's Word through spiritual discipline so tat love may not GROW cold).

13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

(Endurance test, long-suffering here of course.

To Matthew 16:12,

12Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees."

(They got it! Why? Hearts always open to receive the Word, sticking with it).

AMEN!!!
