Revelation 1; Verses 8-11; The Lord's Day (The Millennium)

Continuing on in the great book of Revelation. Revelation means to reveal/uncover/unveil these truths to us for the end-times. So, that is what we're going to do. This is an important study as we begin to set the frame work for the whole book in the first place.Thank you for taking a look †


(Revelation 1:8-11) "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.


(This is very important for us here in the Words Christ gives us. They will be unique in that He is making huge points to us-ward here in the end-times. Which is = Now and current, He is there. Which was = Christ is God in the flesh. Which is to come = The second coming/advent. Covering all. As Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever).


9I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.


(John is our brother in Christ. A companion, right there with us. He has been there he knows what it's like. And way more than most of us. Because of that we look to it and see what they went through. Tribulation here is general trouble a Christian will go through in life. As we are not of this world, and people make life tough. Patience a key word here as well. It will be used many times. Including those who will be delivered up during the great tribulation. Do they physically die? No they keep that patience within and hold firm to Christ not bowing to satan. To be delivered up death means to be handed to satan, put right in front of him to be mortally inflicted. Meaning he wants your soul. Let's take a look:


These are the "some" delivered up directly to satan while he is claiming to be Christ to be a testimony against him, exposing him. No fear allowed here. They are coming locked and loaded with the Gospel Armour  Christ approves of 2 churches as we will continually see. The other 5 are lukewarm thus part of the famine as we went over yesterday from the first trumpet. Hail mixed with fire and blood. Meaning lukewarm on account of not being the blood of Christ. Not the right salvation.


(Luke 21:17-19) "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.


18But there shall not an hair of your head perish.


19In your patience possess ye your souls."


Okay, let's look at the some of Smyrna. The same "some" here from Luke 21.


Luke 21:16, "And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death."


They will overcome that second death here. Which means to be mortally inflicted and dead. The death of the soul. That is what it means.


(Revelation 2:10-11) "Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.


11He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death."


Who says this? The Holy Spirit. Not following and learning this? It ain't the Holy Spirit).
Okay, we got that. What the whole book of Revelation is about. For us to be filled with this Word and to overcome


To verse 10,


10I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,


(The Lord's Day = The Millennium. The 1,000 years. As a day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as a day; II Peter 3:8; Psalm 90:4. I wish I could put Psalm 90:4 in this study but for the sake of length. Please take a look. So deep and talking about just these end-times. Obviously, John had to go to the future in the Holy Spirit to get the future events. You certainly don't go backwards or stay where you are).


11Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea."


(Two times in 4 verses. The first and the last. All inclusive. Christ is letting us know who is in charge for our sake. 7 churches = 7 always stands for 7 spiritual completeness. We have 7 of everything. 7 trumpets to 7 continents which is very important to note as we get further along. The Kingdom/dominions of the world. See the church was to be the light to all 7 continents = the world).

Revelation 20; Verses 1-3; Heading to the Millennium

(Revelation 20:1-3) "And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit (abyss) and a great chain in his hand.

Why in Revelation 20:1 does Satan not have the key? In Revelation 9:1 he was given the key? A: To fulfill God's plan. No one opens the prison door and puts themselves in a strait jacket, as Satan is bound up here. This is complete degradation once again. In other words, Satan spends the Millennium at the scene of the crime of the first woe trumpet. Now the picture here is exactly that: kinda bound in a strait jacket, hand and foot cannot move in darkness with the heart-sinking. Welcome to the demon drop for the chief of demons (beelzebub), properly said evil spirits though.

2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

The Millennium = thousand years. Remember though, a day with the Lord is a 1,000 years, and a 1,000 years one day. Why? the spiritual concept of time. No flesh. Important to note we still have time in spiritual bodies. However a much different time clock we know of now. A pretty simple concept as we will be living life with the Lord and His people. We would not want to be late and tardy in our promises visiting them? Eternity - forever. So we will not time in that sense. This is also in the chapters of Ezekiel 47, 48 and Isaiah 65 a couple references to take a good look at).

(Here once again as in Revelation 12:9 your told Satan is the dragon and he is the serpent. Not some talking snake who fed Eve, then Adam a "fruit salad" in the garden of Eden. The garden variety story that it was some literal fruit, commonly portrayed as an apple. That's a fairy-tale).

3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season."

(The seal is a promise and here is the binding up. God said it, and so it shall be. We know he will no longer be allowed to deceive in any deceptive roles at the end of the Millennium. But will be himself at the end of the Millennium. They will have full knowledge and understanding who he is and yet still follow Satan, and even having bowed a knee to Christ acknowledging He is savior and Lord. They are forced to do it, and at the end of the Millennium they will have that choice if they want to follow the savior and Lord Yeshua Christos or Satan).

Now, if they choose that after all this mess Satan and the fallen angels have caused, I really don't want them around me for an eternity. Would you? Want to live forever with just that pure evil? They don't want God so He gives them what they asked for.

Here in a quick reference on Satan being himself below after the Millennium and their time to be tested. We will go more into these verses two studies away.

(Revelation 20:7) "And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison."

(Remember the beast and false prophet. 2 of 3 of the evil trinity/Godhead were thrown in the lake of fire already. The dragon is Satan himself as referenced in Revelation 20:1 up top. So, they have full knowledge who Christ is and who Satan is, and some still choose satan when you keep reading on).

Let's back up a few verses to see them two gone for good:

(Revelation 19:20) "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone."

Revelation 20; Verses 7-9; End of the Millennium (1,000 Year Reign of Christ) (cont)

Continuing on in the Millennium. The 1,000 year reign of Christ, a time of teaching and discipline. Revelation chapter 20.

(Revelation 20:7-9) "And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,


(The end of the Millennium, satan is unbound from his strait jacket (if you will), and out of prison he is released, all while being watched. Now this has to be quite degrading considering he was the highest angel in rank before his rebellion. You think he's nuts now, wait till this day).

8And shall go out to deceive (cause to stray) the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth,
Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.


(Now satan is himself here. Meaning he will not be testing them disguised as anything (serpent, angel of light, antichrist, son of perdition, claiming to be something he is not basically). Remember 2 of 3 of the evil godhead/trinity were thrown in the Lake of Fire right before the Millennium proceedings began in Revelation 19. Remember, the children of Israel as the sand of the sea as well. We have a seemingly showdown which will not be much of a showdown).

Who is being tested once again? Revelation 20:4-6. Those unbelievers who DID NOT take part in the first resurrection. They go through the Millennium with mortal souls. From the Greek meaning liable to die.

So, God's elect are teaching here in Jerusalem in the land of Israel, and they have already decided to build without the Lord again here. Covering all the earth the conspiracy is on.


All know quite well who satan is here. What do we have here? The nations still here, but it's not Babylon this time. We have a repeat from the day of the Lord. Gog and Magog we know is Russia, but this is the system, commie government that does not want God. So, now we get kind of idea who will be included in the Millennium. As it's written in Isaiah 11, even many muslims (important to know they are Arabs first (Arab is ethnicity, muslim/islam a religion) (Lot's lineage--arabs, Ishmael, sons of Ammon, etc) will obey and make it to the eternity.

Let's take a quick look:

(Isaiah 11:12-14) "And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
(Christ' second coming. The gathering of the elect. Isaiah focuses on the house of Judah, Ezekiel more the whole House of Israel).

13The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

(Joined to one stick. The adversaries of Judah are of course those who call themselves jews and are not--the evil figs that claim to be God's chosen in the land of Israel right now. The offspring of the serpent. Ephraim envies here because of those of Judah who live in the land of Israel. Their homeland. As it is most Christians want to be in and walk the land their savior and Lord has, and will again soon).

14But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

(Lot's lineage here, arabs. That laying down the hand is the judges we seen from the previous post, that right hand.God's elect hand out the justice through Christ, God's Word; Revelation 20:4. And many of them will make it as we see. God showing every direction here even beyond these west and east).


Continuing on: You have to be just pure rotten evil to the core after knowing Christ is God here, and bowing to Him. Being taught ALL God's Word in the Millennium. Then the moment satan shows up as himself follow him again. This will be the 3rd time as well going back to the first age following satan, from where he started the rebellion against the Lord. Conspiring once again to destroy good and God's elect. Three strikes your out. Thanks for wasting our time, but they choose the lake of fire in the end. What more can you say?


9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them."

Circled them about. The city is of course Jerusalem where they will be teaching from during the Millennium. That's that, epic failure again! The word devoured here is used in the sense of being stripped of their evil goods for works to be used to try and destroy God's elect (the saints) here. As we will see in the next post they stand in front of the JUDGE, at the Great White Throne Judgment).

Next post, the eternal judgment at the Great White Throne Judgment (No one is or has been judged yet to the lake of fire). Only satan by name and the fallen angels covering all them are going to the lake of fire as of now. Currently, Christian believers are on the good side of the gulf. Unbeliever/the wicked on the bad side of the gulf. Those who did not believe and repent. (Luke 16:19-31; I Peter 3:18-19 a couple references to look up).
