Matthew 6; Verses 22-23; Ecclesiastes; Worldview/Perspective

Thank you for taking a look †

(Matthew 6:22-23) "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

(The light of the body is the eye, that is perception = perspective. The way we view the world. In today's World people are searching for answers, something happens they change their perspective, this is what the world calls a paradigm shift now).

Here is the problem with that: One will become more and more hungry/thirsty over time not finding the answers after each "shift." The problem also is the "shift" happens after something happens or is done to us. Many times after a catastrophic/traumatic event in their life really making more bitter without working on the heart. Now we are speaking here solely on those who's search is not Christ and the Word of God, because Christ is doing exactly that.

Their just wanderers without a home in this wilderness with this "paradigm shift."
A paradigm shift is coming to a greater "enlightenment" defined by that persons all truth is relevant truth. As we see, there is no enlightenment and greater love achieved. It is more selfishness and bitterness. The older we get without finding purpose towards the Lord we only become more bitter.

What will people find? they have went through many paradigm shifts in life without their relationship to and with God changing, nor the morals derived from their heart. This is a given, but only if they are honest with themselves.

(The word single means sound and whole = complete. Now with the root words you'll "see." From the Greek Alpha (a particle) which is why they used the word single. Because Christ is the first (and the last, Omega). The base root word means to weave together. Of course, we're weaving/knitting together both eyes to see the same thing. Therefore, not being double-minded).

In case one is not sure what that all means; Particle - a minor grammatical function word that has comparatively little meaning and does not inflect, in particular the meaning. In other words, it does not give us the full picture until we put it together.

Let's look at Ecclesiastes 12:1-2,

"
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

2While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain."

Continual doom and gloom and increase of darkness here,

(Getting older in life here. Overall, a gloomy outlook, perspective, and worldview in life. No purpose is found without the Lord in heart and mind--conscience. Now keep in mind this person growing older has had many "paradigm shifts."from the blows in life. But each time obtaining more worldly knowledge without the Lord. And the whole book of Ecclesiastes comes to just that summary early on. Gaining worldly knowledge without the Lord only increases sorrow, and self-pity.

(We see nothing positive in life here. This is the trick of the promising paradigm shift lie. Just be positive, just be positive based on feelings, feeling one's way through by being positive not dealing with negative. See faith is the substance we hold to, the substance of things not seen and what is to come. What is hoped for. Feeling one's way trying to deal with stress and the negative is a disconnect in reality. In the end it is mind control. NO, Christ suffered for us we too look at that and keep positive though Him and for Him because He did us).

The clouds not returning after the rain is another figure of speech. Meaning, there is no end to it. Each storm and gloom in life without the Lord brings more darkness!

This is also out of place. The sun comes out after a good rain and everything green thing (grass from trees) begins to flourish maturing. It cannot happen in this case.

Back to Matthew 6:23,

23But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

(Either we're in darkness or light, incomplete or complete. Many times some say I need this or that to complete me. Christ does not say that according to the terms we can make up. "Complete love casts out fear." Meaning it throws it away, back to the dust on the ground where satan (the serpent) belongs).

(Complete love for Christ completes us, then we're ready to share that with a mate and others. Before that there will always be the confusing undefined lines love and lust to that person).

Recap:

Now Christ is talking about the love of money and then anything of His creation of the World here and it's idolatry (the things of the world over Him). The goal should be for the Lord to complete you, nothing in this world can complete us until we put Him first.

Therefore, we conclude a "paradigm shift" is the road to achieving greater darkness.

Below, We have two-fold here. Because then ALL their spiritual condition will be revealed to them in the physical at Christ' coming. The most evil of days at satan's coming claiming to be Christ/God.

The persons spiritual condition as in Ecclesiastes 12:1-2, and the literal physical condition. The day of the Lord is a day of darkness. The light they trusted in God's creation without Him is turned off, and they will then realize who is the LIGHT. God uses the symbolism for us to relate in characteristics if your a Christian. It trips them up not understanding because they worship just seeing the physical unable to see the spiritual. Complete backwards.

(Mark 13:24-26) "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

25And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

26And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory."

Amen †
