Matthew 12; Verses 31-32; The Unforgivable Sin

Thank you for taking a look †

What is called the "unpardonable" or unforgivable sin.

(Matthew 12:31-32) "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.

(First off there are two things that in action a person can commit it. 1) The continued refusal to deny or speak wicked things of the Holy Spirit from an unbeliever. This is a given. The Holy Spirit is what seals us up as Christians in assurance in knowing, understanding, discernment. All truth. Even more per John 14 the comforter, the heart-warmer in this cold, cold, world. Especially here in the end-times when the love of many waxes cold. Number 2 down the post some).

(Matthew 24:15) "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax (grow) cold."

Remember last chapter we defined agape (overall good will towards people, respect them as the Lord's creation) and phileo (brotherly, brethren) love.

Why does the love grow cold? Iniquity = lawlessness. The rejection of God's law(s), furnishes hate, then hate speech. We also see it a thing of a progression. That is just common sense and a common theme in Ecclesiastes, for the person in the flesh living day to day. Showing us why we should love by the Spirit. Especially chapter 12. The only greater enlightenment a person thinks they come to in this world without the Lord is even deeper darkness. And I ask which enlightenment would that be? Would they know their future more after this life? Know what tomorrow brings? Know where the world is heading?

Especially, in the end-times as fear grows not knowing what is to come. But no fear if you know the chronological order of events. For they are children of light, not of darkness (I Thessalonians 5:1-5).

The word cold from Matthew 24:15 comes from the Greek word psychō. Where we get the word psycho (which if you do an etymology study this word has been abused badly), and of course the word fear (morbid) from the Greek is phobia (men's hearts failing them for fear because they do not know what is coming).

Pretty impossible to have good will, respect anything as the Lord's creation and give it proper honor if your an atheist, evolutionist, etc. As the Lord saw His creation not only good, but very good (Genesis 1:28). How is that "enlightenment" thing working out again? No love in any of this. Just viewed as an expendable dump is the by-product of atheistic evolution.

Reference:

(John 16:13-14) "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you."

How many truths? ALL. ALL LIGHT.

Back to Matthew 12:32,

32And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."

(And so it shall be).

Now to get a full picture on how this affects believers who have the Holy Spirit:

(Luke 12:10-12) "And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Spirit it shall not be forgiven.

(Finishing up point 1. Speaking against Christ can be forgiven. But if one accepts Christ then the Holy Spirit comes they speak evil or deny it they are denying their own salvation. We have to keep that lighted lamp burning. It goes out there is nothing left. That is the point. Once the Holy Spirit has come and denied where you going to go next? There is nowhere else to go).

2) Here; They must let the Holy Spirit speak through them or it is the unforgivable sin. That will not happen. They are chomping at the bit. They are not to premeditate what they say. No sermons, so studies in front of them (no need to think about it beforehand). God will be doing through them and from them with the Word in their hearts and minds. Amazing! Just like Pentecost Day.

11And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

(That is delivered up. Where? The synagogues of satan).

12For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say."

(So, this is when delivered up to have the Holy Spirit speak through them. That hour is the hour of temptation when satan claims to be Christ/God. This is why it is written those in Philadelphia (brotherly love albeit) will be kept from the hour of temptation. And some of those of Smyrna are delivered up).

Reference: Philadelphia,

(Revelation 3:10) "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."

(To be kept means to be kept safe/guarded--protected through the great tribulation).

Now for Smyrna, Revelation 2:10-11,

"Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

11He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death."

These are the two churches Christ approves of. What they teach and what they know for starters. Because? As referenced already they know who are of the synagogue of satan. The kenites). They know the parable of the fig tree Christ said to learn it, not take guesses. Jeremiah 24. Please take a look at Revelation 2:9; 3:9. Then message for questions if you need a little help.

(That second death is to be mortally inflicted. 1st death =The physical always in Scripture. 2nd death = The soul).

Back to Matthew 24 verse 9 now,

"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake."

Kill = Not physically. It means to inflict mortal death = Their soul. Remember, a few verses down told to endure to the end. You cannot very well endure if your dead!

Direct cross reference in Luke 21. The same "some" there as the "some" on Smyrna.
