I Corinthians 2; Verses 10-16; The Holy Spirit (cont)

Thank you for taking a look!!!

(I Corinthians 2:10-16) "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

(With the Holy Spirit you're going to dig deep (maybe 7 feet deep)? Compare truth with lies, fact from fiction, rationale and good reason. Putting things in proper order and necessity. The deepest thing of God was the feeling of compassion then mercy leading to forgiveness at the cross. Grace through faith = THE GIFT of God. Ephesians 2:8-9).

11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

This is huge. Not guessing people's thought, feelings, knowing what they are thinking until they communicate them. Using this as a distinction, likewise you cannot know God's thoughts, emotions, will, unless it were not for the Holy Spirit. Which confirms all. That is huge faith and trusting in it. This comes along the way of course in confirmation of Scripture. The very fact one agrees with Scripture is the Holy Spirit. That of course, Scripture correctly. And Scripture correct us along the way, growing. You should be able to tell if you're growing. Easy, are you learning? Do you know and understand more today than yesterday? Christ was with Disciples over 3 years. They have the benefit of seeing it up close in the flesh. We have the benefit of ALL Scripture.

12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

(Here you have it from verse 10, confirmation. Knowing and understanding what comes from God and what does not. Freely given - Going back to grace through faith and covering all since. As you cannot put a price on God's wisdom after salvation as well. Reference: Everywhere. Take a look).

13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Spirit teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Man's wisdom always equals = The ends always not justifying the means. Beginning with loving the vain over the Lord. You cannot love God's creation without loving Him first. Goals, aspirations are only self-serving in selfish ambition. The world of course loves that, looks highly upon. Morally looks good, in an attempt in saving man seemingly. My question, how many did you run over to get there? Don't lie.

Comparing things = As we were leading to above. Evidence, weighting it with rationality and reason. That is exactly what the Holy Spirit teaching all truth. Bringing comfort.

14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (examine and judge correctly).

Better not be after having it explained. Well, they would not either. The very root is two opposing thought processes and worldviews. The Christian with the Holy Spirit always see's the eternal benefits or consequences. To which an unbeliever cannot relate with no frame of reference. Suppose you think Christians are better? Backwards. Get over yourself and join in. If someone humbles themselves as a little child, how is that better than anyone? Exactly, why Christ says that beginning in Matthew 18. The Disciples wanted to know how you gain more stature and importance with God. Take a look. The old upsmanship game results.

15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

It is clear here the old who are you to judge card is nothing new. The Gospel and the WORD of God is preached/taught so they/you are not judged to the lake of fire.

Judge = Right from wrong in discernment, reasonable. Not the instantaneous as many would say in who are you to judge, with the implication in their mind you are referring to "hell" and/or lake of fire. That is just a wall in their self-defense against the Lord. Don't take it personal. I know this thought process always comes from a false "Gospel" being taught for a while now. Um, no one has been judged to the lake of fire yet. NOT UNTIL AFTER THE MILLENNIUM. And they do the choosing. God gives them what they asked for.

(Which is why we alluded to the above. Some of the things you will get as a result. Being judged by them. We define it for them. Through the LORD and His Word of course. All for their own good whether they think so or not. That is on them).

16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."

What a question here. Who is going to show Christ the path? Who is going to teach Christ? Some made up idol that don't talk? Buddha? Allah? Muhammad? Confucius? Some man-made up philosophy? Freud?

If you are under a different religion as well reading this take good thought on that. If you can say anyone of those can teach Christ then there ain't no hope for you.

Likewise, Christians have the same mind. Christ always brought, think and judge correctly. Posed to the Disciples and the pharisees when Christ walked the earth. Of course, the pharisees right from the get-go pretty much came with questions to trip Him up. Likewise, they do the same.

Notice when the Disciples were in temporary error as well. Christ did not give the slip and in casting them out. They were in it for good, sincerity, and kept on keeping on. They were honest about it.

Amen
