(Proverbs 20:19) "He that goeth about as a talebearer (slander) revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips."
(They hop from place to place like bunnies with nothing to offer. No substance making a living off tearing others down in deflection from their own responsibility and accountability. Instead of paying the Gospel forward, they pour out lies in their own selfish ambition not of the Lord, entering through the doorway of minds with smooth talk).
From the Hebrew root it means a scandal mongering traveler. What today many would call a "drama queen." They want all the attention for their own selfish causes. Wherever there feet take them this is what they bring. Supposed to have the Gospel shoes on. But terms such as drama queen should be used according to God's term. Not because someone interferes with own godless causes, then they are called a "hater." That is backwards.
Meddle = Like putting yourself in the middle of it. Like mind your own business, then of course they want everyone to mind their own business when it comes to them because they in hiding here as we will see. But even more the word means like an exchange putting trust into it.
The big problem as well is thinking you're exempt from them. When they feel they are done using you for this common cause you want out of they go for you and so the revolving door circus goes on. Traitors, backbiters, gossipers, and busybodies. There is no limit to the path they set of destruction to themselves and those around them. Personally, if I have seen this I look at the motives. Found in their words. I'm not happy about them trying to put me in the middle of it, and their selfish causes.
This is their actions here, to operate in secret, to hide.
They don't look for solutions, problem-solvers. They are not doing the Lord's work. Faith by works is occupation. Working for the Lord in heart and mind. Serving the Father through Christ. As we can see the talebearer is self-serving, full of pride wanting to be served themselves. Insecurity, stemming from lack of faith their cause is to make themselves feel better bearing false witness. In the end, not blessed from God.
(Proverbs 25:30) "The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue."
(Scattering trouble makers the whole point here. As we pointed out they are not happy. Some feel sorry for them but it is their own doing. Backbiting = A secret slandering mouth. You drive away rain you contribute to the famine setting fire to the grass and every green thing. The famine of course now is the hearing the Word of the Lord.
Not doing the Lord's work here. The Lord's Work is getting the Gospel out to whatever gift He gave a certain individual to their capacity. There is no such thing as a small work with the Lord. Christ went over this. The smallest amount (cold cup of water) is taken and refreshment for both. Soothing the soul, especially in a famine).
(Proverbs 25:25) "As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country."
(Matthew 10:42) "And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward."
This of course a Bible concept used well in I Kings 18 with Elijah in the physical and spiritual famine then. Types up and down for us in the end-times.
Elijah outnumbered 450-1 showing us many things. The Lord with you that true fire will not be stopped. Like the end-times as with Elijah the false prophets their fire went out. Fire and lamps spiritually symbolic for the Holy Spirit. Please take a deeper look. Imo the story of Elijah has the most analogies, types, parallels, to the end-times of all. James chapter 5 along with it also a very good study. As through the book of James He begins with the tribes, going to true faith and works as opposed to so-called faith w/demonic/evil spirit activity, to selfish ambitions, motives, and the same as above. The overall point is truth faith of course.
