Proverbs 3; Verses 1-3; God's Peace
(Proverbs 3:1-3) "My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
Everyone has "watched" (babysitter) a child before and knows the frustration of not listening at the time. Likewise, consider God more, and how much more? Many would say, "It's going in one ear and out the other." Like, "passing over the ear." Christ is our Passover as well.
(I Peter 1:19-21) "But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God."
Likewise, when they do right they get rewarded. I'm not suggesting "negotiations" for things they should already be doing).
To Proverbs 3:2,
2For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
(No fear, no worry, no stress (negative stress). Of course, not only a longer life in the flesh, but eternal life most of all. Because of eternal life a life of peace in the flesh. Thanks be to the Lord Jesus Christ).
3Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart."
(The word mercy here actually love from the Hebrew. Seen in context in this verse specific. Why? We're talking about the foundation of what comes from the heart).
Neck is used in opposition to being stiff-necked. Also, in the exchange of "chains" around the neck. Everyone likes a good necklace, and that is fine. But used for exactly that point. Exchanging our love for that to God and His laws, ways, and standards first. As Christ said nothing wrong without the outside of cup "looking good." But not until the inside of the cup is clean.
Table or tablet as in God's law from the heart (motives, the origin) tucked away nicely. Where a true heartbeat begins through Christ belief/repentance, Matthew 5-7. As all the Proverbs will be contained in the Gospel.
Many have been to a restaurant ordered a glass of milk, but on closer inspection you see it's dirty, eww, eww, eww. (Milk of course symbolic for salvation/doctrine pertaining to salvation message directly as well; Isaiah 55:1; Matthew 11:25-27; Hebrews 5:11-6:1-12, to name a few).
(Matthew 23:25-26) "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also."
(Blind guides. Imagine per say, Someone promised you a tour of Heaven to see Heavenly places. What it will be like when you're there. But because they do not teach truth you end up at the zoo (False lions, leopards, and bears, oh my; Revelation 13:2). Blind guides indeed. So it is with the false church. As it is written it would be).
The end.
AMEN.
